THE CITY OF LIBERTY
Liberty, Missouri is a thriving suburb of Kansas City, Missouri that has been growing and developing since it's founding in 1812. Liberty has a history that encompasses everything from the Civil War to Joseph Smith, as well as Jesse James and the first daylight bank robbery. It has served as the Clay County seat since shortly after it's inception and has played in an important role in Missouri history throughout it's entire lifespan. LIBERTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS
Liberty Public Schools is consistently recognized as a top-flight district in Missouri. LPS has 11 elementary schools, four middle schools, two high schools, an alternative secondary school, and an early childhood center. The district serves 11,800 students and due to the rapid growth of Liberty, is the second fastest growing school district in the state. LPS has cultivated an atmosphere that prioritizes higher learning and 90% of graduates seek higher education. In recent years, LPS has been honored for their technological excellence and has been recognized nationally for their widespread implementation of technology to support education. A student who attends Liberty gets every chance to have a positive, successful education with the best teachers.
WILLIAM JEWELL COLLEGE
William Jewell College is a small liberal arts college founded in the mid 1800's. Jewell was named Liberal Arts "College of the Year" by Time Magazine and is widely recognized as one of the best liberal arts colleges in the nation. It maintains an attendance of approximately 1,000 students, and yet has a full complement of NCAA Division II athletics and a nationally recognized Fine Arts program. William Jewell also boasts:
